  August 15, 2012 - SMELL: Large smell with currant, viola, smoke and oak. Very pleasant.
  TASTE: Medium full juicy taste with red berries, liquirice and viola pastils. Well integrated barrique. Kind of short aftertaste.
  
  I think it lacks some acids to benefit from cellaring. Drink this young and fruity!

  May 11, 2012 - Don't pay too much attention to the blurb on the label...It is a light to medium red wine, well-balanced but not terribly exciting. Well made. It has only a slight hint of jam/jelly and is pleasingly rounded although you still notice the tannins. Overall, good value for money and then some extra points because it's german. Beats any Beaujolais in my books, but not by much.

  February 24, 2012 - Red fruit and a hint of strawberries in the aroma. Not that high acidity so quite different in style from Burgundy.
