February 20, 2015 - Pours a medium ruby. Tart cherries, cinnamon, tar, licorice, mushrooms. Still quite strong tannins after 9 years. Subtle finish which retained the fruit. Paired with braised beef.

November 22, 2014 - Enjoyed this with a nice dry aged ribeye at Killen's Steakhouse in Pearland, TX. New to tasting notes so will not attempt analysis but will offer comment. Wine was superb, a little on the sweet side. Little dry, which I liked. Clearly fruity from nose to finish (can't specify which fruits, haha... just a wonderful party on the palate). Probably best Italian I've had to date. No sediment, medium legs.
