May 2, 2019 - One of the best Betz wines I have ever had. Middle aged, but in the prime drinking window right now. Smoke, incense, coffee grounds and black fruits. So expressive and smooth but with great balance and tension between the supple fruits and secondary elements. This just glides over the palate and while in some ways is subtle, has impressive power and complexity underneath. Not even close to being past its prime. Perfect provenance is the key! Bought on release and stored at 55 degrees since.

December 29, 2013 - Lovely, smokey wine. Medium weight. Dark color, dark fruit profile. A little sweet on the entry and then finishing out with a cool menthol aspect. Drinking quite well and still plenty of fruit left.
