January 9, 2022 - This has really benefited from time in the bottle. Maybe a Bob Foley thing. Label notes > 17% alcohol. Now with very dark purple fruit, complex and integrated, new-world but not over the top. Very happy to have more.

January 19, 2016 - Same as my CT notes from October 2015, except that this really presented itself with a rich smoothness that was even more notable than a few months ago. I bumped this up to 94 points. Unbelievably smooth considering this clocks in at 17%+ ABV.

I decanted for about an hour, but it really didn't need it. Decadent and unctuously thick. A great PS!

October 26, 2015 - PnP revealed a massive wine, with powerful tannins, alcohol, and gobs of extracted fruit and liqueur-like berry flavors.

After an hour decant, the tannins became sweeter and very approachable, surrounding tiers of huge, inky blackberry, blueberry, black raspberry, a streak of red licorice, fresh vanilla bean, and asphalt.

Improved over a total of two hours; a huge wine to be sure, but with all of those layered PS flavors one looks for. Paired great with "sassy" molasses BBQ peppered chicken. Drink now with an hour decant, or hold throughout at least a decade more.
