November 16, 2023 - Decanted for about 2 hr. It was thin and unpromising at first but developed nicely after 2hr. Deep ruby color. Red fruit nose with hint of rose and leather; red fruit, blueberry, hint of currant, spice, earth, undetectable tannins, round, long silky finish.

July 24, 2021 - Just a mess without any structure to start, firmed up and enjoyable after about 2 hours.

April 3, 2021 - Almost 2 years since my last bottle, the 2009 Cemetery is still wonderful and was quite appropriate for my 64th birthday. It has great depth and complexity, is fully mature, and will undoubtedly start to fall apart soon. Plus the label art!

February 2, 2020 - Last wine of our evening. Initial musty fruit, old leather and medium spices on initial nose while decanting. Opened up to show some violet floral notes and dark fresher fruits over the 90 minutes it was open. I think I would drink this before too long as I think it may be passing prime sooner rather than later

June 7, 2019 - After an initial decant, the 2009 Cemetery seemed over the hill, with flabby, jammy blue fruit and prune notes. After a couple of hours it had climbed back to the top of the hill, with a soft texture, focused blue-black fruits, cinnamon, spice and even some faint rose notes, a long finish, and fully integrated tannins. A very appealing, mature cabernet once it came together. Not sure how long this vintage will last, I plan on finishing my bottles in the near term.
