  June 14, 2017 - Beautiful concentration, pencil lead, slightly briary and cedary tone. This is huge, precise and so assertive; the Syrah characteristics are in full display. A little more direct and linear compared to the more plush and expansive '08 but the quality is the same. One of my favorite Syrahs.
  
  Held up great on the 2nd day - just as precise and defined as ever and gorgeous to drink.
