March 25, 2018 - A very enjoyable wine. Agree with previous notes, let this decant/air for 2-3 hours. Drink now. Cheers.

February 18, 2017 - Winebar [7 Reds] from 2/17/17 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Typically, “Garnatxa Negre & Carinyena from schist soils @ 350-400m elev; Harvested by hand, partially destemmed (30%), fermented with indigenous yeasts, and aged in foudre & amphorae.”

N: An unusual, though not UNattractive, lead aroma (tar, poss rubber?); Seems ripe/deep

P: Med, poss MF, body; Almost swtish frt met by JUST a touch of astringency; Long, SPICY, only slightly firm finish. Lovely wine for drinking NOW & probably into early '19. 92 pts WA (5/’11), but 13/20 El Mundo Vino. [As of late Mar '20, wine-searcher still shows 1 source @ $50].

November 25, 2016 - As of Nov 2016, Don't let it fool you when you open the wine first. Decant for 3-4 hours - it will be a different wine. It will open up and deliver.

March 3, 2016 - Delicious dark fruit on the nose and palate with dark ruby color. Complex finish was very enjoyable, everything a Priorat should be.

December 25, 2015 - Dark ruby. Some floral tones on the nose. Tasted of cranberry and other red fruits, some minerality, nice acidity and unobtrusive tannins. More elegance than power. Has potential to improve for several more years. Very good.
