March 13, 2024 - Day 1: These wines are on another level. Savory wine with soy, sour cherries, dust, earth, white pepper, gravel and roasted brisket. Long finish and nice acidity. A true great wine here. 95 points
Day 2: Wonderful on day 2 and won't make it to 3. All gone. Green olives, sour cherries, dried herbs white pepper, gravel, roasted brisket and tar. Super complex and long finish. Simply amazing wine. 95 points
Recommendation: Get some via auction if it comes up. $50 to the front door.

    April 2, 2023 - Day 1 not as good.
Day 2 so much better. Black olives & pepper, spices, dark fruits, dust, minerals, graphite, floral and stone. No offense to all the wines sampled on Friday night including mine but this is much better than them and a fraction of the price. 94 points
Day 3: Wow does this wine have some life left. We are always talking about the Northern Rhone wines cellar for 20 plus but this wine I would argue is an infant. Black olives, stone, black pepper, dust, earth, exotic spices, dark fruits and graphite. Super concentrated wine and long finish. Everything is there for another 10 plus years! 95 points
Recommendation: I will argue no one makes a better Syrah on the planet for the money than Reynvaan/Result of a Crush.

March 31, 2023 - Holy wow, so smoky and savory, an explosive nose, screaming of The Rocks and screaming of Syrah. Just bloody. The palate features wonderful cherry fruit, peppery on the mid-palate, tannins are a bit dry but there is also nice acidity. Consumed across two days via Coravin. This is stunning, one of the best new-World Syrah's I have ever tasted, just gorgeous.

March 9, 2023 - Wow, wow, wow. The wine was immediately powerful and big but also somehow graceful. It was also totally open, everything clean and ready to be tasted. A real benchmark for the WA Syrah with the distinctive taste of the dark ripe plum along with some smoke and a little tapenade hit. Totally integrated tannins with that wonderful full fruit. Cayuse has always been my benchmark for WA Syrah. This had a lot of the same qualities while being a little less wild and definitely more refined. So maybe, I have 2 benchmarks for the region. This 2010 is delicious, totally in its drinking window. I don't think it can get any better, but it will be great for a few more years yet. Lovely drink.

March 5, 2023 - So good especially with the smoked ribs that we had for dinner.

(Reynvaan Family Vineyards The Unnamed Syrah Walla Walla Valley) A brooding wine with light floral notes, Calamata olives, and orange peel. The palate is incredibly perfumed, full of savory flavors with a textured feel. Less opulence than previous vintages but all of the intensity.
