January 26, 2015 - Better than typical California Cabernet but with the requisite over-oak. What brings the wine around closer to a balanced flavor profile are wonderful notes of blueberry, blackberry and chocolate. It's a well built wine with tame tannins and alcohol. I love central California and what they are able to do with their fruit. This is a 2007 and I think the times have since changed with the over-reliance on the new-French-oak-vanilla-thing finally being suppressed.
