November 24, 2022 - From a vertical 2010, 2011, 2012 library release. Opened all three bottles an hour before dinner. Started with the 2010. Deep ruby-violet color. Black raspberry and cherry fruit, with earth and mushroom notes, coating back of palate. Long finish. Serendipitous pairing: porcini and chanterelle savory tart first course. This was the favorite of the night for most. Had to open second bottle.

April 21, 2020 - Smelled like burgundy wine. Really held up. Nice balance of pinot noir and interested taste of spicy wine. Medium cherry's blue and black berry notes. Faded but still lively fruit. Nice balanced new world rustic pinot aged well. Good claret color with faintest tinge of brown tan at edge. Now I have tasted a Oregon pinot with some tertiary notes, dried fig and spice box. Fun.

July 1, 2018 - WX Blind Pinot Noir Tasting (Danny Aliaga's House): One of my standouts. Cloudy murky cranberry red - awesome. So pungent on the nose. Super peppery, truffles. So much funk. Lighter fruit notes still pronounced.
More funk and gorgeous texture on the palate. Bright red fruit, mushrooms and forest floor. Long finish. Killer juice. Highly recommended.

January 2, 2015 - Note from memory based on a dinner with friends. Enjoyed over 90 minutes. Full nose starts with some earth and funk - not quite all-out brett assault to me - but close. Palate has more black than red cherry fruit and fresh cut herbs, earth and mushroom notes. A medium-rich fruit character that is well balanced with acidic structure. Fresh. Good with roasted chicken.

April 16, 2012 - Willamette Valley - Tasted at winery: Tasted with Jim Anderson.A big wine. Complex, layered flavors of dark berries, spices, smoke, earth. This needs a few more years in bottle to integrate. (Volcanic soil from the Dundee Hills)
