December 1, 2021 - A dinner with Mr. Genchev (Bishop's Stortford): Such a pure fruit that is screaming merlot, plums with that velvety caressing feeling I associate with home, and all of it from the moment you put your nose in the glass until the finish. There is a Tuscan twist as well, some sangiovese fruit + the usual tobacco and forest floor, but Merlot is the star here, and it is a top-class act. In the sweet spot for drinking now and the next 5y.
