December 26, 2016 - Dark berries, coffee, motor oil, iodine. Extracted and more oak notes than I currently like, this still has nice balance with noticeable acidity and smooth resolving tannins.

May 23, 2012 - Vintage Select Industry Tasting (Vintage Select Warehouse, Houston, TX): Another wonderful offering. Great full nose of blackberry, blueberry, pie cherry, pipe tobacco, hints of espresso and mint. On the palate, extremely silky smooth with black currant, sour cherry, mint, and espresso. Long finish with lots of grip. Almost Bordeaux like in its aroma profile and texture. Hold 5-7 years.
