July 27, 2021 - Classic Northern Rhone Syrah in all its facets, still drinking very nicely.

October 27, 2013 - This is surprisingly rich for a Northern Rhone. Deep, dark color with rich nose of oak and black cherries. Noticeably oaky on the palate, despite the back labels claims of no new oak, with dark cherries and plums. It definitely likes some air time as others have pointed out and tasted quite the same the next day. My only gripe is that the varietal characteristics are hard to find which is perhaps down to the richness of this ripe vintage. Tastes great now and certainly seems like it has a few more years to go with the proviso that this is from the high-yielding Crozes plains so unlikely to have the stuffing of the steep terraced vineyards above the Rhone.

September 15, 2013 - Drinking very well. Decanted one hour, consumed over next three. Limpid dark ruby. Nice nose of cherry, leather. Excellent palate of tart cherry, white pepper, licorice, lavender. Long and clean on the finish. Great with food, great by itself. Batting well above its weight. Glad I have more as this should last a bit; I am guessing this will not get much better, as it is a bit light and the balance for aging does not seem to be there.

April 4, 2012 - Great fruit. Pepper notes with dark fruit and plum on the palate. Very clean finish. Drinks great after one hour in the decanter. Not sure how this will age, but it is very tasty right now.
