November 23, 2011 - This is an amazing creation. 48 months in Burgundy barrels. When you first pour the wine the aroma fills the airspace around you. It needs about 10 minutes in a decanter or just in your glass. Once it has had that time it is as smooth as silk. Amazing and bursting flavors of dark cherry, plum and blueberry. Very jammy and rich, but does not kill your mouth. Great lingering taste on the finish. The bouquet is very herbal and fruity. It is an expensive offering from Silkwood--but well worth it for the special occasion.
