May 21, 2013 - Bought this at the winery today on closeout and opened with friends during a late afternoon picnic. Raspberry, cola, a bit of leather. Nice lift from the acidity, fine-grained tannins. Very nice.

May 19, 2013 - Purchased at the winery on a closeout, and it's a great deal. Drinking well now and has enough stuffing to cellar another year or two. Red and black fruit, lighter oak signature, medium acidity with fine tannins. Enjoyed a bottle with friends as we ate cheese, salami and crackers after the Taste of Alexander Valley; we all commented on how good it was.

Reminds me a lot of the '06 Esterlina Merlot, which was also terrific.
