March 14, 2013 - Chianti Classico tasting- the black rooster crows at the dawn of a new age (Allerton Hotel, Chicago IL): Nose: Nice and balanced nose with tones of spics, herbs, dark red fruits, and some oak.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. There is nice balance to the tones of spices, dark red fruits, and some oak. It is lacking somewhat on the mid-palate.
Overall: This is a nice chianti classico. It is lacking some depth and definition on the mid-palate, but is very drinkable. -

March 14, 2013 - Beautiful red fruit of cherries. Virtually no tannins (aged in vats, not oak). A lovely wine.
