Community Tasting Notes 2

  • DavidWong168 Does not like this wine: 75 points

July 31, 2015 - Smells hot, nose-hair singeing type of hot, not allowing much fruit to come through. Some cherry and toasted vanilla in the nose. Acid, burnt toast and heat again on the palate. Grippy. Not enjoyable. Started deteriorating in the glass.

December 16, 2011 - Moderate nose, more oak to nose than ripe dark fruit. Mid-palate actually shows a buttery yet toasted note; a shadow of a heavy hand thru oak barrel selection to compensate for, what...? Edgy stiff tannins, definitely all out of sorts balance-wise with the softer less ripe mid-palate. Disjoint, average, no deal here.
