  April 4, 2024 - Side by side with '09 Lillian Blue Label. 4.5+8.5*+4.5*+9+9+4.5+4.5=94+ Definitely in the dark fruit spectrum of Syrah with less of the smoked meat character. This is just so fresh, vibrant, and upfront with its luscious fruit and depth. Really a lovely wine that poured ready to drink but I would guess it still has a good number of plateau years ahead if you have multiple bottles. Certainly drink now for a purity of black fruit that is in wonderful balance on the palate. It is about as good as you could expect for this price point, locale, vintage. Day 3 (pumped): This remains much the same wine as the day opened. Obviously extremely well-made.

  January 20, 2020 - Very nice Syrah. Rich but layered and complex. Vanilla on the nose, nice mouth feel, long finish. Rasa makes nice wines, but they are often priced at a premium at the winery. I like this one a lot, but still paid a bit too much for it.

  May 7, 2019 - Great syrah to serve with BBQ. Still has at least 18 months in peak drinkability.
