  June 15, 2012 - Shared with four new friends at a four course Greek dinner we made at Dave's. Popped and let sit for an hour. Over-the-hill but still potable. Very mature fruit, buttery flavors, slight hint of citrus. The other four liked it, including a professional chef. who really thought it was great. However, I found it passed its prime. It's drinkable for amateurs, but I would use it for cooking or use it to make a white wine sangria.

  May 20, 2009 - still drinking very well, but nearing its end of life. This chard has and elegant sytle. With aromas/flavors of vanilla, pear, oak and spice. Creamy mouthfeel and lush finish.

  February 21, 2007 - tiswas is correct. This wine is pretty good, but would have been much better 3 years ago. The fruit has faded and what we're left with is a rich nutty, buttery chardonnay with a bit too much oiliness to it. I drank the 99 a month ago and was in love with it...99 must have been a better year because the fruit was still showing. All in all, Merryvale makes a pretty darn good chardonnay.
