December 27, 2014 - One of the members of my wine group gave me this wine, I'm not familiar with the producer, but I am enthusiastically familiar with the Apalta Vineyard. This was lovely. Dark plum & smoke with a faint meatiness, I'm not sure who provided me with this bottle but, thanks.

April 10, 2014 - On the nose, "Coldness" (new world wine), blueberry, morello cherries, soil and a hint of lollipop
On the palate, sloes, vanilla, cherry stones and a certain level of heat from alcohol
    Medium + finish

February 19, 2014 - Viña Ventisquero by Hugo Salvestrini (Enoteca Barolo - Madrid): Stickers, milky nose. Balsamic. Some fireworks.
Potent on the palate, a kind of liquor more than a wine coz those 14,5%.
This time there are Syrah essences but without any elegance from down under, then ready for US market?
A bit pungent at the end.

Adhesivos, nariz láctica. Balsámica. Algunos fuegos artificiales.
En boca potente, una especie de licor más que un vino por esos 14,5º
Esta vez hay esencias de Syrah pero sin la elegancia australiana asi que, ¿lista para el mercado norteamericano?
Un poco pungente en el final.

    August 15, 2012 - Drank at Davies

A very interesting wine made by an Australian (John Duval of Penfolds Grange fame) and some Chileans. The name is the old word for when all the continents were together. Very clever.
I was expecting more of an Australian Shiraz but this tasted much more of a Northern Rhone Syrah.

Nose of blueberries, tobacco, spice and vanilla. Smooth rich mouth. Medium length. Very nice stuff.

June 24, 2012 - Robust, rich.. Opaque. Not what you expect when you hear "chilean wine". Full of taste - must be paired with grilled meat type food. Will try and get more bottles.
