November 20, 2011 - Barnyard, red fruits, medicine and minerals in the rustic bouquet. Tertiary in the mouth, but still very much alive with minerals and firm tannin which is a bit drying in the finish. This must be the oldest C9duP I ever tasted and it was a pleasant surprise. And of course 1978 was a magical vintage.

November 19, 2011 - Game and Rhone Tasting @ Peggy's (Villa Reynart, Opoeteren): Bottle in pristine condition. Translucent terracotta-red. Very fine gamey, earthy nose with still a few tiny redcurrants peeking through. Strong, meaty and tight in the mouth, with refreshing, brisk acidity. Amazingly enjoyable, honorable and tasty. Geez! 17,5/20
