October 6, 2019 - Ruby/garnet, medium (+) intensity. The nose is clean with ripe black cherries, candied cranberry forest floor, mocha, leather and balsamic. The nose is medium (+) in intensity, moderately complex and developing. The palate is dry, but with sweet fruit right up front, balanced by nice acidity. The alcohol is high, at 14.5% but relatively unobtrusive. The tannins are smooth and nicely rounded, medium to medium (+). The mouthfeel is smooth. This is a nicely balanced, full-bodied wine which remains elegant and graceful, It has medium (+) flavor intensity and a moderately long finish. It is still drinking beautifully and should have at least another 2-4 years left.

June 12, 2019 - Brunello's with Mid-Week Wine Group (Casa Tomek): Dark fruit perfumed nose with notes of black cherry, some prune and plum. The nose stops before getting to raisiny but it comes close to the edge. Silky palate, very strong structurally. This continued to evolve over the course of the evening, improving throughout the evening (blind wine #2).
