March 9, 2024 - Same bottle as a year ago. Coravined for one glass and then one year with seeping bad cork. Still the same wine (amazing Mr coravin!), but I gave it two points more. Will have it tonight for stinky cheese and it is perfect for that.

Possibly with some breathing even better.

March 31, 2023 - Still in good shape, but I don’t care too much for Zinn

Balanced, acidity still there. Huge alcohol - Portwine.

Probably good with stinky cheese in lesser quantities.

Respect for keeping up after 25 years nonetheless

October 31, 2017 - Bouquet explodes with waxy golden sweet honeycomb, drizzled over strawberry jam sandwiches. Or for the more sophisticated, it's star thistle. The whiff finishes with raisins. When you take a sip, those same raisins are what you get on the tip of the tongue, not like eating raisins, but like eating the entire little red box with all the raisins in it. Then mid-palate, a bit of acid hits, then you get some Ribena—yes, the English soda juice—then it goes bold with tannins that are round but not quite silky and finishes back to that box of raisins.

March 31, 2012 - Good nose with fruit showing through. Wine shows excellent balance with solid fruit and clarity. This wine does not appear overripe and presents itself as having the ability to age further, although there is no reason to wait. I am definitely pleased, given the vintage and the alcohol levels.

May 6, 2010 - Another forgotten zin in my cellar. Should have had this at least two years ago. Still good, but could taste the age. Too bad!
