  March 8, 2012 - Terroir of St Emilion (Roberson Wine, South Ken, London): Light restrained on the nose. Roundish on the palate but still quite tannic. Alive and Kicking. Enjoyable but not memorable in any way . On the way down too so start to drink this. 89

Surprisingly, I pulled the remaining half a bottle from the fridge days later, and on Day 5 this is performing better than when it was opened. Brighter, more obvious cherry/fruit notes, more complexity and balance all the way around, with a distinctive brightness that wasn't present at the pop. If I had more of these, I probably wouldn't be in a rush to drink them (WA "drink by" of 2012 notwithstanding).

  January 18, 2010 - Taste at Elysian.
  Open for two hours. Very nice dark red cherries, leather, cigar box and tobacco.
  Palate is less impressive but more subtle. Nice acidity and medium bodied.
