May 6, 2023 - less rich than the '10 but perhaps better acidic lift. Delicious

May 6, 2023 - Ganevat Dinner (San Francisco): Gorgeous nose with notes of green apples, lots of citrus, minerals, and a little bit of smoke. High acidity with more citrus notes on the palate, lemon zest, minerals, more apple and a hint of pear. Long finish. This wine has a lot of intensity and power but it's really well balanced and complex. Awesome! My favorite of this flight.

February 4, 2023 - Malty nose. Rich, IPA-esque, reminiscent of the 120 Minute IPA Dogfish Head with the neon caution sign bottle cap. Somm mentioned it would be the perfect pairing with the sweetbreads, which were the most unique sweetbreads (no discredit to The Simone’s classic sweetbreads, may they rest in peace). Palate and nose mix into a hint of vanilla? Raisins (BQ note)? So many notes I don’t yet have the breadth of experience to describe. A finish of smoke and ash (?) and white grapes. @ Chambers

September 29, 2019 - I'd dispatched a couple of 2009 Ganevats lately after drinking a relatively underwhelming 2009 Florine. Results have been trending upwards as one climbs the hierarchy (as usual). This was fantastic. A riper edgebecasue of vintage but this was superb - rich and fleshy, lovely acid underneath, some tropical notes, offset against that saline minerality Ganevat always seems to capture.

January 9, 2018 - 13%. Excellent excellent wine here. Easily mistaken as a Raveneau Grand Cru. The sheer intensity , complexity and liveliness is incredible. So much fresh orchard yellow fruits, touch of secondary complexity of roasted nut, earth and spices. Super length!
