Community Tasting Notes 3

February 11, 2018 - Vinetasters: Robert Mondavi Reserve (1970-1998) (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. From half-bottle. Really dark; there's almost a slightly disgusting brownness to the colour here. The nose and palate remind me of a straw wine; it's very thick and syrupy, and the botrytis here doesn't seem to be particularly pronounced. Supposedly, this is riesling, if so, where's the acid?

September 10, 2010 - Sweet, thick, dark gold color. Nicely aged, but not a huge amount of complexity. Nonetheless, quite enjoyable, esp with some good Roquefort.

February 23, 2007 - RICH SYRUPY FRUIT, PEACHES, APRICOTS IN THE NOSE. FLAVOR LIKE THE NOSE. MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.
