Community Tasting Notes 5

December 12, 2020 - Cherries, orange and cinnamon on the nose. Iodine, orange peel and glazed cherries on the palate. Very tannic but with the high levels of acidity combined with the fruit it comes across as almost slightly sweet in a very pleasant way. Medium finish. In some respects this is still quite austere but it is also beginning to show a much more ethereal side. Really excellent.

October 23, 2020 - Very consistent with prior notes, this is delicious and so versatile, we drank it with sirloin, hard sheep's cheese and by itself. Fruity with some good secondary development, the wine is tannic, powerful and complex and presents a myriad of typical flavours on its lingering finish. Fabulous value for money.

July 29, 2020 - This was very consistent with previous bottles. Very little sign of age to this bottle in terms of appearance. Aromas of cherries, orange and cinnamon. Very juicy with cool dark fruits and spice on the palate. Very tannic, medium body, good acidity, medium finish. This is delicious and continues to improve.

May 5, 2020 - Six months on from my last bottle, this was very consistent. Slightly less of an orange hue on the rim than time with aromas of cherries, orange and cinnamon. Very tannic on the palate but also very juicy and plenty of fruit. Medium finish that lingers.

This is delicious and will continue to improve for the next 10-15 years. I really need to bury what I have left in a dark corner of the cellar or buy several more cases to see this go the distance.

September 29, 2019 - Slight orange hue on the rim. With a little time and coaxing, aromas of cherries, orange and cinnamon come to the fore. On the palate this is very juicy, nicely fruity and incredibly tannic, but the tannins are not harsh. Medium finish.

This is a delicious wine that is going to continue to improve for the next 10-15 years.
