July 31, 2019 - Love this winery. Nose has deeply powerful spices, toffee, earth, and muddled ripe black fruits. Palate has powerful fine tannins, a slightly sweet profile, and nicely balanced acidity. There's a sweet earthiness, creaminess, and gorgeously active baking spices on the tongue. Long hedonistic finish. Think hot spices and big-flavored foods. Love this stuff.

August 26, 2017 - Dark, dense, and chewy with blackberry, black cherry, and blueberry fruit. Mid-palate of smoky tar, black licorice, tobacco, and a definite meaty characteristic to it. Nice full structure, supple tannins, long finish.

November 24, 2016 - This wine was very earthy and meaty with not much fruit to speak off. It was still very dark and rich just not much fruit at all. A decent wine but I wonder if the fruit has faded??

February 6, 2015 - Northern Rhone and Syrah of the World (My house): Black, dense, chewy. Black coffee and tons of umami. Long finish. Too big for my taste.

January 8, 2014 - Decanted 5 hours prior to tasting. Very interesting flavors and texture. Rich dark fruit, a tar and licorice component, a touch gamy with a fine grainy mouthfeel. The oak has not fully integrated being noticeable at back palate but still quite delicious.
