January 1, 2013 - Good wine that has d up well. Tasts are good but nothing exciting. Color, good, body was a little light.

March 20, 2011 - This wine has always been a great value. The 99 is still drinking really well. Good color, and body. The wine still has tow to three more years left. Classic Shiraz style wine, complex flavors, good balance of oak and fruit. Finish was nice and lasted a while.

December 6, 2010 - Intense concentration of flavors - sour cherries, blueberries and leather. Soft and round but a little tired

October 19, 2008 - Good decision to hold this bottle for a couple more years after tasting it in July '06. Some plummy fruit has emerged and the wine has come into a smooth balance. Poured it for some non-winos and they quite voocally enjoyed it. Drink now.

August 21, 2008 - Earthy, oaky bouquet, deep purple, robust on palate. Peppery and somewhat leathery; excellent with steak.

(Leasingham Shiraz Bin 61) Winner of '99 Shiraz/Syrah blindtasting. Balsamic blueberry and faintly meaty nose; tasty, developing intriguing secondary flavors, balsamic and meaty; medium finish 92 pts.
