March 27, 2024 - Took to restaurant, so soft, elegant, restrained, integrated, full of balanced red fruits, plum, raspberry, cranberry, hints of truffles and earth. Paired nicely with Scottish salmon and chicken and dumplings.

November 23, 2023 - Piemonte - mature Barolo & Barbaresco (at my home): Nose:
Classic Barolo profile: Expect aromas of red fruits like cherries, strawberries, and raspberries, often intertwined with floral notes like violets and roses.
Spice and earth: Look for hints of pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and aniseed, along with earthy undertones like leather, truffle, and damp forest floor.
Evolution with age: Some older bottles might showcase dried fruit notes like dates, figs, and prunes, along with balsamic vinegar and hints of tobacco.
Palate:
Elegant and structured: The mouthfeel is likely to be medium-bodied and well-balanced, with fine-grained tannins that offer gentle grip and a long, lingering finish.
Acidity: Expect lively acidity that keeps the wine fresh and vibrant, even at this age.
Fruit and complexity: The initial fruitiness gradually gives way to more savory and earthy notes, creating a layered and evolving experience.1 person found this helpful Comment -

December 16, 2022 - HDH auction at avec River North (Chicago, IL): From magnum. Ripe fruit. A little angular and showing some of the heat of the vintage. Not the most complex, but pretty approachable and pleasant now.

Grosser Genuss.
