April 1, 2017 - Cracker. Needed time to open as you'd expect of a 12 year old wine.

March 29, 2016 - I've tried and tried to like this wine, but tonight with bottles 9 (corked) and 10 of the case I have to give in. This is and has been throughout a profoundly disappointing wine. Overextracted, overoaked and generally very unimpressive, it has no characteristic of any of the pleasant elements of St Emilion. How a vineyard with this reputation could have failed so comprehensively in 2005 is a total mystery. (...and anybody checking my notes will know that I am a real softie in my comments....)

May 10, 2015 - I found it funny how Zorg thought this to be too fruity with a little funk and Roboto had it as too funky with not enough fruit. :)

I'm inclined to stay somewhere inbetween. A good balance between funky, barnyard and fruit, though I found the fruit to be fairly developed and leaning more towards leather, tobacco and herbs. There is a bit of stable floor, bdx dirt and woody ceder as well.

Medium acidity and quite dry on the palate with fine grained, but distinct tannins. More body than I expected (M+) and a decent, medium intensity and, slightly warm finish.

Typical, not fully developed yet, but I can't see this gaining anything from further cellaring. 200SEk ($25) is quite good for a decent Bordeaux, though I can't say I'm enthusiastic about opening my second bottle.

January 18, 2015 - Too funky. There is a pronounced herbal, barnyard wall in front of what feels like good mature red plush fruit. Perhaps it goes away with a little air you think. But no such luck. Its there and its not 'character' nice..its just unpleasant.. If it would have been the other way around, with nice red plum fruit from 2005 and a little barnyard sprinkled on top I would love this wine.

January 4, 2015 - Smooth, well refined and very easy to drink, but quite underwhelming and lacked anything memorable. Enjoyed it never the less, knocked it back rather quickly in hind sight....
