January 21, 2024 - In the end of the window. Still nice but 2007 drank four years tasted better. My opinion is that amarone tast better young than cellared.

December 23, 2023 - Quite typical very good Amarone, Christmas cake nose, full, softly textured yet well structured on the palate. Feels a touch sweetish, yet nicely balanced and holding the high alcohol very well.

July 23, 2021 - Friday French dinner at Maison Dakota. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is opaque, deep intensity, ruby colour. Thick long legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of concentrated deep red berries, blackberries, balanced raisins, earth, dark grilled herbs. Developed.
On the palate, dry, balanced acidity that dips to medium+ with air, very high alcohol (16.5%), high tannins, very full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of raisins, blackberries, dried plums fruit, deep red berries, mocha, scorched earth, dark grilled herbs. Long finish.
Very good quality. Gotta judge a spade as a spade, and this is a good Amarone, even though this isn't my preferred type of wine anymore. In a good place already, though it certainly has life for more years.

April 6, 2020 - Great wine, big and powerful. Still many years to go.
