August 27, 2023 - Elegant, refined, almost light-bodied after the Breton, but with depth and complexity that was really pleasing. Forest floor, unlit cigar, ripe green pepper, cranberry/forest berry, earthiness but subtle, and so on. Really special, and in perfect shape. EWG Loire dinner at Otono

May 2, 2022 - Meals in France; 4/30/2022-5/6/2022 (France): Restaurant BTG via Coravin. Wonderfully mature black cherry and plum with earth, mushroom, green bell pepper, and roasted meat. Lots here to appreciate, combining big flavors, some bitterness and earthiness..

December 22, 2021 - Looking forward to drink a Clos Rougeard again after a great experience few years back with the 85 & 86 Rougeard Poyeux, medium red, lovely expressive nose of tobacco & red fruits, elegance personified in the mouth, in its window, good but not a great wine
