August 29, 2023 - A bit modern in style I guess, this has a rich and round feeling with a good amount of oak. The fruit acidity and oak is getting very well integrated though, giving excellent lift and transparency. Will it be even better in 5 years? I think so. It defenitily possesses grand cru weight.

September 14, 2022 - Like many Vougeraie, the nose is pretty with red fruit, flowers and sweet candies. Palate is a tad light for a 2010, but it is inline with Pierre Vincent’s wine at the domaine. One can argue the wine lacks weight and depth for a 2010, but it is very enjoyable. 91-92

May 14, 2022 - Red fruits and florals lead to a seamless, refined medium palate with feathery tannins and good length. A lovely drink.

    August 3, 2019 - 58th TWIGS meeting (I & H's Place): Cork. 13.5% alc.
    Decanted 3 hours. Served blind.
Classic Pinot aromas - red and blue fruits, violets, rose petals, and then more florals and forest aromas. Enticing nose, for sure. The palate is elegant, balanced and refined. Raspberry, cherry, forest floor. Mildly mannered tannins provide an entry to a long finish. There’s sufficient intensity and matched plushness. In the end, it’s engaging and delicious.

February 4, 2018 - Three hour decant. Slowly, gradually opened. Started light, red-fruited and tight (but not tannic). Picked up weight, the fruit darkened and the wine opened somewhat. Another 2010 that's accessible because it's so perfectly balanced. You feel the old vines as much as taste them. Sort of inherently a little sauvage as opposed to the autumnal flavors some burgundies pick up with age. (Which I view, in this case, as a feature...not a bug.) If you don't have very much, you could enjoy a bottle now but would be leaving quite a bit of positive development on the table. If you have a fair bit, by all means give one a try if you give it some time in a decanter. In five years, I'd bet this is a 96-97 point wine.
