Community Tasting Notes 7

April 18, 2022 - Very different showing from the last bottle. This was way younger, fuller and almost too young and primary. Quite boring compared to the other one with an annoying lactic texture.

October 2, 2021 - Shy but beautiful nose. Very Syrah-esque, violets, touch of smoke. Very mineral, graphite.
Light on its feet, almost austere, dark fruits, very fresh and elegant.
Really liked this bottle although at times it almost seemed very tight.

January 4, 2017 - Rather fresh, almost vegetal, red fruitiness and medium bodied, with some complexity and barrel notes. Decent finish but lacks a bit deepness.

August 21, 2014 - Blind with Geoff Labitzke: dark, young looking, ruby-purple out to rim; blue/black fruits, some green peppercorn, violets, black pepper! Fresh herbs, thyme, roses, lavender/sage and meaty; this was fresh and floral with tart berry fruits and good complexity. Very tasty for a CdR!

January 12, 2014 - Complex and great value. Spice, smoke, meatiness and black olives. Quite austere and vegetal bitterness Improves on 2nd day. Wine for the head But found it hard to love.
