June 4, 2022 - Drunk at Moon Bay Restaurant - Hong Kong - When this bottle was opened and poured almost immediately you knew it was going to be a treat. The sweetness on the nose together with the bright sparkle of the wine in the glass were the tell-tail signs that this was going to be a great Bordeaux performance. And so it was. That sweetness on the nose translated into a Goldilocks like experience on the palate that was truly almost impossible to put down. I'm sure Carly Simon was thinking about mature Bordeaux when she sung 'Nobody does it better"!

March 9, 2022 - Served blind. So dark in the glass for its age. I thought 1980s and possibly 1982 as it was so well balanced. Classic bordeaux nose. A slight hint of lean but definitely not the classic left bank green pepper. Lots of balance and harmony. Feels a warm vintage from a cool era. What an incredible treat. From a Belgium importer label.

January 5, 2022 - A superb birthday dinner (Amsterdam): Level low shoulder, some lovage, a ripe colour, still some red, firm,
tannins, severe/classic, still a bit smooth and showing its age gracefully; the aftertaste is surprisingly balanced.

November 20, 2021 - JK's 50th Birthday: Half bottle. Fun to drink, more evolved on the nose than on the palate, some stewed prune but quite clear notes. Not fair to rate.

September 24, 2021 - Another deep cellar treasure from a friend. Unfortunately this was too oxidative to be scored.
