  November 7, 2015 - Fairly sweet cherry fruit with a little leather but minimal green pepper, it is pretty much at peak.

  September 30, 2012 - Older Loires: Ripe blackberry fruit sits on a pleasing earthy/leathery foundation that keeps it from getting out of hand, while a touch of green pepper adds more complexity without being unpleasant. It is drinking well now, but I'm in no great hurry to finish my remaining bottles.

  January 12, 2008 - Excellent showing. Still has a nice core of blue-ish, crunchy fruit underpinned by a fine limestone-ish minerality. Has developed some tertiary aromas of tobacco and earth and the fruit is more subdued than in the past. The wine was still fresh and lively and could certainly last a bit longer, but I would drink this now while it is still grippy enough to really shine with a meal. My last bottle of many, and while it was not quite as good as a bottle two years ago, it was still a fine showing.
