October 12, 2015 - this was very nice with a Cod Coppicino for dinner. As it opened up there was a lovey gush of chocolate on the backside of this wine.

August 27, 2012 - Drank alone (no food). Pleasantly surprised as it needed no time to sit and was smooth, warm, and full of fruit and body from the "get go". Would likely pair well with any red meat, particularly if it has a bit of spice to it. Couldn't pick out the specific notes, but they are there, and varying a bit, so it has some complex features. Very nice.
