June 20, 2023 - Lively cranberry flavors, with more than a hint of toastiness on a savory and acidic palate. S'wonderful, but, alas, my last bottle. Paired beautifully with leftover braised rabbit leg.

October 16, 2022 - Poured through Venturi. Cranberry coming through more than black cherry, on a savory and acidic palate. Surprisingly long finish that I hadn't noticed in earlier bottles. Paired very well with baked chicken on a bed of Mediterranean-ish veg (tomato, onion, beans, fennel) along with baked squash. Great news is that I discovered another six bottles...(so much for my record-keeping.)

April 8, 2022 - Deep ruby color; much less evolved in appearance than the Beaux-Monts 1er cru from the same maker and vintage, opened earlier in the evening. Black cherry and a toasted (almost burnt) quality on the nose. Fruit is fading from the palate, leaving the tart and savory Burgundian character prominent, much less balanced than the beautiful Beax-Monts.

August 24, 2020 - Drank in 2020, very happy to drink it this year. Absolutely delicious it’s starting to really show its age but I think it’s just on the cusp. Its at a near peak wine but I think I’ll hold my next bottle until actually 2025 not much older than that.

February 27, 2020 - PNP. Last tasted in 2014 and this has improved since then.

Light red color. On nose, cranberry, earthy, sweet tobacco and mushrooms. On palate, bright cherry, cranberry and sour cherry with touch of sweet tobacco. Medium body, high acidity and integrated tannins. Long finish.

Very enjoyable and glad I purchased. This has aged extremely well - given this bottle it should go for another 5+ years in a cool cellar. 91-92 range.
