  March 15, 2014 - Smells of plum with some spice.
  
  Palate follows the nose but there is a not unpleasant sourness that carries on to a long- finish. Medium body and acid. A very fine wine with pizza or any other red sauced dish. Held up well on day two and smoothed out just a bit.

  October 6, 2012 - I liked this wine as much as I did the first time I had it. Solid pizza or lasagna wine. Spicy cherries, raspberries and coffee on the nose. Medium acid on the palate, fine tannins, but lots of cherry jam, red plums and spices. Pepper accents the finish. Fun stuff.

  January 7, 2012 - This barbera really delivers for the price. Aromas of raspberry, some coffee and chocolate. The palate is really fresh, with medium acid and tangy sour cherry fruit. The freshness of the fruit is key here, and it's unhindered by oak. There's might be just a hint of toast on the finish, but that's it. This begs for my mother's classic lasagna.
