March 29, 2021 - Not drinking/buying much PS these days and haven't had one in quite a while. The oak monster is definitely there on the nose blended with some cherry pie and a slight whiff of smoke. This is about as rich and inky as they come in the glass...still haven't tasted it. Okay here I go. I am somewhat surprised that the tannins are so mellowed out giving way to a silky feel on the palate. There are some tart cherry notes, vanilla, oak, and a slight cola finish. Just enough acidity to hold it all together. Very nice PS. A little heavy on the oak but otherwise a great effort and in its prime.

May 4, 2019 - It was great while it lasted. At some point after the last bottle is consumed, you start to reflect. Only good thoughts and memories came from these 6 bottles. No tears, just move on--as this was one of the best ever.

April 18, 2019 - This 2010 is really in a great place right now. Went wonderfully with our charcoal cooked teriyaki bone-in pork chops - a daring but fabulous pairing.

April 22, 2018 - Another home run Petite Sirah by Vincent Arroyo. Still very youthful with juicy and brambly black fruit, wild rose, lavender, forest floor, cedar, black pepper and a moderate length, but pleasant juicy finish. Went incredibly well with our teriyaki bone-in pork chops. This can sit easily for another 5 years.
