Community Tasting Notes 2

January 6, 2008 - Dark. rich Shiraz, reminded me a lot of an Aussie, notes of juicy blackberries and cherries, hints of smoke and pepper, not much structure with a fruity finish. For me this is a headache in a bottle, the first glass is pretty good, but by the end of the second my head starts to hurt. Like I've said about other Aussie shiraz's, it's like a dessert that's too rich, the first couple of bits are good, but then all of a sudden you just can't eat anymore, that's how I feel about this wine as well.

October 5, 2005 - South African Wines - VERY LONG; 10/5/2005-10/6/2005 (the Modern): 25% new oak. Heavy sweet fruit and spicy. Almoust like a Zin. Rich black fruit and vanilla. Yum! good price as well.
