July 3, 2019 - This bottle is still going strong -- never would have guessed it was 20 years old. Purple fruit is still plentiful, color was dark and strong to the edge. Held up well over two days. The tannins and acid are well integrated. Not as much complexity as hoped. Smooth but not overly lengthy finish.

November 22, 2016 - Even after decanting, tasted somewhat bitter. Seemed to be past its prime.

October 26, 2015 - Served w BBQ skirt steak, baked potato, red Swiss chard. Delicious! Great depth.

November 22, 2014 - Opened for wine group lunch today...some slight bricking, nice rich color. Expressive nose. A real surprise...very well integrated tannins, good fruit and delicious. Was not expecting it to be this good in an average year. Drinking well even tonight...has some time left.

May 11, 2013 - Absolutely delicious. The hit of the evening. Medium garnet with a hint of brick at the edge. Full of fruit and well integrated tannins. This started with flavors of black cherry, cassis and raspberry. Evolved over two hours to reveal additional layers tobacco and cedar and a touch of light oak on the finish. No question this is drinking at peak right now.
