September 17, 2022 - Interesting nose- candy apple oregano Huge tannins still- young and unapproachable but lots of potential under the surface. Long finish, leather and grilled meat.
Second day- nose is similar. Tannins are still huge but showing more fruit and leather and grilled meats. Very “masculine”.

May 31, 2022 - Nice California cabernet. Not too grapey, but still bold with some tannic grit. Insanely overpriced. Can have a better bottle of wine at a much lower price.

    April 30, 2022 - Dark crimson, opaque.

Ripe, intensely concentrated cassis, black berry. Chocolate notes come through with air.

Medium alcohol, full+ body, medium+ acidity. Fine tannins but provides plenty of structure.

This is a powerful, concentrated wine but still has restraint. It has the acidity to give it freshness and poise. There’s a balance here often missed in Napa cabs. Excellent!

January 10, 2021 - Kleur: Diep opaak donkerrood. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 19 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 95/100

Color: Deep opaque dark red. Aroma / bouquet: Lush bouquet, on the one hand strongly fruit dominated with notes of sweet red fruit such as cherries and blackberries, on the other hand tough with spicy notes and aromas of refined wood. Taste / Finish: Tough and powerful Napa-Bordeaux blend that has a classic appearance in many respects. The combination of a pronounced acidity and firm - also beautifully aged and softly droppy - tannins means that I would have recognized this wine as French rather than Napa-Cabernet. After some time, this wine shows more complexity and layering. General / potential: Beautiful, almost 'classic' Bordeaux blend with a wonderful concentration and a wonderful balance. A clearly 'tougher' and more tannic wine than the yesterday tasted St. Eden. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Taste / Finish: 19 + Overall / potential: 9 = 95/100
