April 30, 2022 - Not a great start as the cork broke off as I pulled. The wine was darker than light gold, and smelled of oak / vanilla. Caramel on the palate was followed by a disjointed jolt of lemon acidity. A bit of air and 30 minutes later it was all integrating beautifully to the point where this was undoubtedly the best bottle to date. You have to be brave to get to this point in its evolution, and to enjoy tertiary white burgundy flavours, but it is worth it to me…..

October 5, 2020 - A bit of air; a bit of time out of the fridge and this starts to show really well. A bit of vanilla on the nose, and then the palate is semi-tropical - maybe unripe pineapple and papaya. The best thing is the lime acidity that cleans everything out. My best bottle to date. Maybe the wait will be worthwhile!

March 28, 2020 - Perfectly serviceable.... and that is not a compliment....

April 4, 2019 - Finally this Meursault seems to be yielding some decent interest. Since I last tried it nearly a year ago the component parts are starting to fill out and give it some character. It starts with well integrated oak, proceeds with mouth-filling white fruits and a little tropical hint and then some lovely cleansing citric acidity comes through. There is something like tannin at the end. All in all, this is something that I am now looking forward to trying again in the future, rather than wondering quite why I bought it in the first place....

May 24, 2018 - All there. Creamy and not overly oaky, but absolutely no excitement. Have I approached it too late and lost the vibrancy of the fruit, or have I had it too early and missing the tertiary flavours? I will let you know how it goes in a couple of years!
