December 27, 2013 - Punching way outside of its weight class, this little puppy came off as a northern Rhone. Meaty and complex on the nose with, medium weight and nice (but light) acidity on the palate. Yum.

May 21, 2013 - Blackberry, black cherry, black pepper and bay leaf are knit together in a this full- bodied wine. Very nice savory elements give it complexity and the med+ acidity keeps the wine fresh. Nice lingering finish.

Drank as well on day 4 as it did on day 1. Should be able to age an additional 5+ years. Another very good QPR wine.

May 18, 2013 - Bearserkerfest Day 2- Domaine Wine Storage (Domaine Wine Storage, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose is on the tight side, but there is a nice purity to the tones of dark red cherries, minerals, pepper, and violet tones. There is good balance to the tones as well.

Taste: Full bodied with medium+ acidity and youthful tannins. The structure is very noticeable, but there are well balanced tones of dark red cherries, minerals, pepper, and some chocolate tones as well.

Overall: This is a very young syrah, but one that can improve. There is nice purity to this as well with good structure to boot.

June 18, 2012 - Ripe blackberry, pepper and anise flavors finish with tobacco and earth. Will go well with any strong-flavored food.

    June 2, 2012 - Enjoyed the meatiness/classic syrah. Decent value at $20.
