November 23, 2014 - Wonderful offering from Iron Horse! Brut X is dry, clean, and mineral driven, with medium, vigorous bubbles. Lemon scent and taste add brightness, but aren't overpowering. Lovely, dry finish of medium length.

October 27, 2013 - My favorite wine from Iron Horse. Nice clean tastes on the palate without being overpowering with the bubbles.

May 5, 2013 - Clear, light lemon with a hint of green. It has vigorous, large bubbles. The nose is clean, medium (-) in intensity. The palate is bone dry, with medium alcohol and medium (-) smoothness. The acidity is pronounced, and the minerality is medium. Overall, this is a medium (-) bodied sparkler, which is moderately balanced but skewed slightly towards hardness. It is very clean, with a moderate flavor intensity and a medium long finish. Drink now, not intended for further bottle ageing. Good as an aperitif or paired with shellfish or triple cream cheeses.

December 1, 2012 - This is a very dry, mineral-driven Champagne with moderate notes of yeast. Relatively good balance considering the low sugar, but not quite the quality and complexity that I am looking for at $50 plus. I really like Iron Horse wines, but this one did not stand out for me compared to some of their other offerings.

November 22, 2012 - Incredibly crisp and clean, with lemon, hay and yeast.
