March 19, 2017 - Dense and opaque in glass
Dark fruit, spice and plum aromas
Smooth texture, touch of glycerine, dark berries, spice and the hardness of mourvedre.

December 9, 2014 - Seattle Wine Group - Dec 2014 Tasting - Theme: CA Cabs (Amaroso Room - Wine Storage Bellevue): Nose of black cherry and pepper. Jammy, black cherry cough syrup flavor a bit too much for me. Palate is a jumbled mess. One bottle left and it will fostered off on the next ubiquitous holiday party I attend. Good riddance.

November 2, 2014 - Jammy, potent fruit, but without other characteristics to hold it up. Not sure if in an awkward stage or if this is where it will be.

August 10, 2013 - CT Seattle Offline II (Amaroso Room @ Bellevue Wine Storage): Bright red cherries just popped from the wine. Nice and tart. Liked it, but would have liked to see a bit more depth or some secondary flavors come up. This was our 3rd ranked wine out of 6, and the group's 4th.

April 27, 2013 - Dark ruby in color, nose of ripe plum, white pepper, bay leaf, and a hint of tar and fennel. Taste was a bit grapey for me, probably cracked it a little to young. Good balance as the fruit fades to taste of leather with tannins and acid in check. Decent finish, but not evolved. I would give this a few more years to see if the jammy effect dissipates.

11/17/2011 (link) **** points(EFESTE Emmy Red Wine Stone Tree Vineyard Wahluke Slope) An aromatic wine with peppery spice, mineral, a potpourri of fruit and floral notes, and a meaty streak. The palate is medium bodied with seamless fruit flavors and a lithe feel. 67% Mourvedre, 22% Grenache, and 11% Syrah. StoneTree Vineyard.
