May 11, 2014 - Nice cedar on the nose. On the palate the fruit is intense, dark, rich and creamy. Has an alluring smoky quality as well. Big tannins, very firm, but also fine. Medium to full body. A huge fruity wine but a streak of powerful acidity keeps it lively and balanced. Amazing how California Rhone-y it is without containing a single Rhone varietal. Guess that's Paso for you.

January 7, 2014 - Lighter blend, good nose short finish.
