Community Tasting Notes 6

October 2, 2022 - This was really quite nice. Decanted due to a broken cork. Virtually no sediment. Quite beautiful on the nose -- notes of cherry primary. Nicely balanced and lush -- imagine gentle, lakeside lapping on the shore. This is pleasant -- quite broad an deep. I can offer no reason to hold onto any bottles in your cellar. Drinking beautifully right now.

April 12, 2021 - Very happy with this. Soundinbetween captures the flavor profile. Burgundy depth, spice, and rondeur compared to Oregon. Good for 5 years I think. P&P but should have opened at least an hour before. 90.

February 5, 2020 - Very attractive sappy nose of cranberry, raspberry, fresh red florals with just a touch of spice. Lively spark of acidity, nice mid-weight flavors of earth and crunchy red fruit (pomegranate, raspberry again). Drinking fantastically well with no decant necessary.

December 6, 2016 - Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+ (Alpharetta, GA): See through maroon; plump on the nose, round, dark cherry, plum; silky tannin, sweet fruit, good focus and acid, juiciness, fuller and richer; not quite developed yet, was further north.

August 28, 2013 - A wine for the nose more than the mouth! In the beginning it seems to be quite open with nice cherries and other red berries without any complications. Then after 2½ hours there is suddenly more mineral notes and a touch of wet dog and cattle. The longer you stick your nose into it, the more notes you will find.
The taste is not as interesting but still quite decent. Nice fruit with cherries and strawberry, a bit of spices, vanilla and soft tannins; quite fleshy. Very harmonic and pleasant with a long and nice aftertaste.
All in all a nice burgundy to a decent price, which for me is a rare combination! Thumbs up for this one!
